I am using Ubuntu 8.04 LTS. I don't know whether the stable versions
are all 2.2.4 or that applies to only Ubuntu 8.04
This only applies to ubuntu, with the 10.04 LTS version you get FPC
2.4.0 (stable release). This version can also be used to compile the
latest version of Lazarus taken directly from the SVN trunk.
