I'm guessing you wish use some form of remote desktop to access the VM,
so I'd be more worried about the internet connection speed that the
actual VM.
I'm running Lazarus on a Virtual Box VM with 512 MB, which at time may
be a little slow, but otherwise there is no problems using a "low" RAM
machine.
