G'day Mike, (Canberra Delphi communications programmer)

Alvaro GP -- computer technician and Delphi programmer in Spain.... Long
time friend of mine who will collaborate with me for my projects to port
Delphi to Lazarus games. Many (about a dozen) have already been
converted with older Lazarus version. Lazarus has a menu tool to convert
Delphi in it menu and it is cross platform.

My biggest problem with compiling my existing Lazarus working code is
that the compiler paths to it pas source code (same as Delphi) the file
paths are empty and i don't know that paths to type in. I thought this
was done automatically but apparently not. I have about knowing which
one to refer to and read. ;-OO I am also quite busy... so finding the
time to read them is a matter of priority setting! ;)))

Thanks for your message to my gmail account about that French action
movie on SBS last night. I forget the names but I remember that I did
see 2 of the 3 movies you mentioned.

I finally got my ISP settings configured correctly. In the end I was
told the Billion modem help number (it was not in the manual!) by the
iinet business support #. I gave them a call and in 20 minutes max I was
talked through setting up my ADSL modem and flashing its ROM. I sort of
new what to to, but I was unfamiliar with it.

I am using my laptop on my desk as my desktop server is US cos I tried
to load Ubuntu 10.10LTS from a boot dvd without an internet connection
and it installed except that it failed to write the GRUB and LILO
rendering my desktop unbootable. I also tried installing Win95B with
Plus! and WinXP and backed them up to my removable hard disk via USB. I
still have a full backup of my Ubuntu 9.06 system as installed by the
Principal Computers (Hobart) technicians. But i am not sure how to use
Acronis True Image 2010 Home - PC Backup and Restore

I can boot Acronis but have no OS on it so I cannot use the internet on
that pc to view the tutorials online.

The tech from the shop will visit me to fix the grub/lilo problem then i
should be right to get the updates.

PEACE
Peter E Williams
