sometimes pressing ctrl+space does not perform identifier completion, and no error of any sort appears in the messages. I looked at "all and hidden messages". I'm guessing that there's a syntax error somewhere above the thing I'm trying to complete, but a little dismayed that I'm not being brought to it. What to do?
