the following sentences are written :
To install the port: cd /usr/ports/editors/lazarus/ && make install clean
A package is not available for ports marked as: Forbidden / Broken /
Ignore / Restricted
During install by the phrase
cd /usr/ports/editors/lazarus/ && make install clean
the following errors are produced and lazarus is not installed at the end :
/usr/local/lib/fpc/2.2.4/units/i386-freebsd/fcl-db/Package.fpc
Please do not build firebird as ´root´ because
this may cause conflicts with SysV semaphores of running services

I could be able to install the Lazarus by applying the following steps :
(1)
From /var/db/ports/ directory , I removed fpc* and lazarus directories .
(2)
During install I did NOT select
Interbase/Firebird
MySQL
ODBC
Oracle
PostgeSQL
SQLite
(3)
I have selected :
GTK2 widget set ( Do NOT select both GTK2 and QT4 , ONLY one of them )
libpng
X11
GTK2
Lazarus has been compiled successfully and it is running ,
I am using XFCE . There is neither desktop icon nor any menu item to
start it .
