Similar functionality has been available since 1992 on MacOS (see http://labview.epfl.ch/RTK/RTK.html) the only drawback is that it calls compiled c code or s-function instead of LV code. Give me a hook to LV compiled code and I'll port my stuff to LV 7.1. Ok I'm sure it is not that simple, but I see no reason not to have it port on other platforms beside resources/market share reasons, again a chicken and egg problem :-( Chris
