i2c interface driver needed

I understand we can bit bang a parallel port or other digital lines to
interface an i2c device but cannot seem to find the driver.  Can
anybody lend a hand? I know there are hardware interfaces available
but I don't believe these are required in all cases.  I am looking for
a code solution.
