I understand that the wavelet scalogram is the square of the magnitude
of the output from the dyadic wavelet transform. However, this does
not seem to be comparable to the spectrogram calculated by the STFT
spectrogram when analysing the same signal. Is there a way to convert
the wavelet scalogram so that it gives a good estimation of power,
comparable to the STFT? Does this have anything to do with the 'Global
wavelet transform'?

I would really appreciate the help with this one!

Thanks,

Moshe.
