simulating a sinus-signal in a graph

from a DAQ we get a sinus-signal.
the incometime of the singal is variable and the signal was shown in a
graph but the real time is not the same as the time which is printed
on the x-axle of the graph. my question is how can we get the real
time on the x-axle?
