Hi, to do it you need a "serial loopback plug". This plug conects some COM port pins in a way which allows you to send data to this port and read them using the same port. Actually this is the loop which connects "receive" and "transmit" carriers of the same port. Such loops are usually used for port testing. You can buy this loop somewhere or you can make it yourself.
