Dell's FAE let me initialize the LPT1, it should be enabled at such condition, and in fact i tried all the differenct settings in BIOS, it cannot work. I also tried with a scanner connected to pc by LPT1: It cannot work at 3 Dell's PC: MODEL GX260 It canwork at a old version of dell's pc And we have a FPGA dog on one new pc, it can work! DELL's FAE said there are some similar problems found by other users, that is, some new dell's PC cannot work for some old LPT instruments. And the BIOS's setting at the new pc is different with on the old pc. But why the FPGA dog can work by LPT1 on the new pc? The DELL's FAE said it is due to different level setting, i doubt about it.
