Uploading binaries is not a good idea, the whole point of PPAs is that packages are built on Launchpad. I'd also ask you to make sure that you are using PPAs correctly, in terms of the PPA terms of use [2]. If getting software into the Ubuntu software center is what you're after, it's likely that using a PPA is not what you're after anyway. Though I don't actually the actual path one uses to go about doing that.
