It depends upon how grub is installed.  If it's installed to the active
partition (like it should be IMO), then there's no problem.
If instead it's installed to the MBR, then it will remain and the system
will likely be unbootable. Booting from a liveCD and using a tool like
ms-sys on the drive, or from Windows, 'fdisk /mbr' will install a
standard boot record, and everything should be fine (assuming the
windows partition is set to be the active partition.)
