i just learned that my very first official "teacher" of lace passed away this past Wednesday. She celebrated her 99th birthday last Saturday, 10/14. while she no longer was making lace, she was still up and about until the last 5 weeks of her life. she spent many years conversing with me and i was very blessed to have her as a friend. she shared a lot of lace with me. she will be greatly missed by all in the Washington/Oregon lace maker groups. she was always cheerful and helpful. she taught the beginner class at LPS for many years and was always encouraging and praising to everyone. please say a prayer for her. thank you.
