What branch are you thinking of? It should be "main" were you can commit.
Thanks, that did the trick! What happened is I did a search for a term
and was directed to the branch “8d9e96dcf8” in which the file in
question was not editable. However, after switching the branch to “main”
I can indeed edit and commit it.
