In this release, only the en_GB has been updated to V2.08. V2.09 or
V2.10 will appear shortly after AOO 4.1 is released. I try to release a
new version every month or so, with hundreds of new words.
To be clear: what we want to avoid is that 4.1 is released and people
downloading it are immediately prompted for a dictionary update. This,
at least, for the first few weeks after release.
I've now updated the dictionary in the source code to Marco's latest
release. So (this is mainly for Marco):
- if you have important updates that you want in 4.1 please upload a
new release immediately and reopen
https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=124127 ; otherwise, 4.1
will ship with the current version (your latest version so far).
- please name the OXT file simply "dict-en.oxt" in future versions;
there is no need for a unique name, and I currently rename it to
"dict-en.oxt" during the build process. We check the MD5 hash to make
sure we have the right file.
By the way, keeping the old name is not just important to avoid
confusion of developers or release managers. When we will build
patches, a different dictionary file name would result in the dictionary
appearing twice in the patch: the old dictionary as negative diff (to
remove it) and the new dictionary as regular, positive diff (to add
it). That might easily double the size of the patch.
