I just checked the Lithuanian snapshot for the upcoming AOO 4.1.0
release
<http://people.apache.org/~hdu/developer-snapshots/
snapshot/windows/Apache_OpenOffice_4.1.0_Win_x86_install_lt.exe>.
Unfortunately, the changes I made to the Lithuanian translation are not
reflected. Are they still coming, or are we having a problem?
I double-checked the PO files I made available here
<https://dl.dropboxusercontent.com/u/1210965/Open%20Office/4.1/
aoo40_ui_lt_po-files.zip>,
they seem to be correct.
I remember Jürgen running into some problems while updating AOO 4.0.1.
The case is documented here
<https://issues.apache.org/ooo/show_bug.cgi?id=123115>.
Let me know if and how I may help.
I will merge the latest changes from Pootle into the sources for the
next snapshot that will be available later this week
Juergen
I see!
Please, keep in mind I was working off-line, thus the merging should be
based on the files I've provided a link to, the files on Pootle are
outdated.
Please upload the files to pootle, otherwise our process get broken.
Pootle
is our prime source for .po files.

I am not sure I'd manage doing it correctly as I haven't done it before.
But I'll give it a try. Is there a tutorial I can look up quickly?
On pootle go to the directory in question, and then click upload.
Also, what happens when I upload the PO files and they get edited by some
third party? Do those changes get accepted automatically? I would like to
be in a position to control this process as a way of monitoring and quality
assurance.
If third party is a committer then they are accepted automatically,
otherwise you will see them as suggestions.
Please remember we are an open community, so everybody is allowed (and
motivated) to help, we do not give or have control over individual parts.
The only way you can control the process is by building AOO locally on your
PC, with your po files, however as soon as you want your files to be part
of a release, you have to go through pootle, and allow others to review and
potentially change them.

I understand and I agree. I was thinking more along the lines of
preserving what is already good and proven in the translation. But I
guess this may always be questioned.
Just for the record, I managed to upload the PO files for the lt
translation of AOO 4.1 under the second condition "Merge the file with
the current file and turn conflicts into suggestions", the first
condition "Overwrite the current file if it exists" didn't work, my
assumption being because I am not a committer. I just learned something
new. Cool.
