Hello l10n people :-) I would like some input about a naming disagreement we're having, in bug:
https://bugs.documentfoundation.org/show_bug.cgi?id=152656 The issue is the name of one of the style categories: "Drawing Styles". I have found this to be a strange choice of name: In LO, we mostly have styles of entities we create and manipulate, e.g. Pages, Paragraphs, Characters, Lists. And the styles of, say, pages, are named "Page Styles". But we don't have entities in LO named "drawings" (or rather, we do, and they are LO Draw documents). What these styles actually apply to are drawing _objects_ like custom shapes, textboxes, lines etc. So, I filed the bug. I suggested changing the category name to "Drawing Object Styles"; some believe this might be too long, and "Shape Styles" could be appropriate. Now, one of the comments, and the one which I'm writing this list about, regards a possible difference in meaning of this phrase when translated into Dutch. This made me wonder... do the translations to languages you are working with have the same problem I describe for the name in English? Do you have a different perspective on this issue stemming from other languages/locales? Welcoming your input here on the list, or better yet on the bug page.
