We have a KX-TD1232 with a TVS120 answering calls after-hours in Auto Attendant mode. One DPT extension (extension 101) is call-forwarded to the single CO line at our second location where a KX-TD816 and TVS100 are located.
If a caller calling into the KX-TD1232 location punches in extension 101, he/she is routed to the CO line at our second location. If the CO line there is busy, though, the TVS120 does not have the ability to bring the call back to take a message for extension 101 (which could then be delivered by external device notification to the second location by retrying that number at intervals, or by calling someone's cell phone, or whatever). So, to minimize the likelihood of the TVS120 transferring callers for extension 101 to a busy signal, I'm wondering what would happen if I add Call Waiting from the Central Office to the single CO line at the second location. Will the transferred callers hear ringback tone if someone is already on the line at the second location and, if yes, can the TVS100 there detect the incoming call and be able to answer it? Thanks for any insight. Deidre _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
