PRI will work on KXTD1232-6 but it does have its limitations.

I've seen this setup work on an SBC/Ameritech provided PRI
behind a DMS-100 configured as NI-2. Worked first time,
everytime once we figured out how man digits the telco was
sending us incoming. Outbound dial plan also took some trial
and error, once that was figured out, we setup the ARS/LCR
translations to allow the users to dial outbound calls as they
we used to on the POTS lines.

I've also seen problems with a the same setup in a Sprint/United
DMS-100 PRI. Problems noted were quite intermittent, some
local outbound calls would not connect correctly, some incoming
calls would not terminate. Appeared to be related to extra
signalling options onthe PRI interacting with certain local trunk
groups. Sprint attempted to cooperate, I worked with their
techs in their national switching center in KS, we did quite a
bit of debugging. Pana gave limited support. After six months
of problems and threats of litigation from the end user, Pana
replaced the 1232 with a 500 and everyone was satisfied,
(Though I'll never get back the dozens of hours we put into
troubleshooting the matter.)

I'll take working with a CLEC over any LEC, they are
much more responsive in bringing a customer into service.

Also: Confirm with Pana tech support the recommended
PRI trunk config specs and order the PRI per the Pana
spec, in writing.

Personally, I'd go for it, but be sure to know and test with
your local CLEC tech before getting in too deep. I'll bet
they can make it work for you pretty easily unless they've
got an uncommon CO switch setup. (Most CLEC's do
use DMS and most do it by the book. Ask.)

CLID: In my experience CLEC's and IXC's will not provide
CLID name service on ISDN, they don't want to pay for
the database dips. LEC's generally do include name,
then again, their ISDN PRI and BRI are much expensive.

Good luck and happy dialing...
