Has anyone found a good alternative for a home that wants an answering machine with notification capabilities? I'm looking for an alternative to the TVA50. That's a lot of money to spend on for a basic answering function. I think that any machine that supports remote notification should work. You could just enter the codes to light the message waiting light on the phones instead of a pager's number. Am I nuts, or could this work? Is there such a device out there?
