Michael,

The system currently has a Fujitsu HD 2.1gb MPB3021 AT which is an
IDE ATA 33 drive. It is noisy and is a couple years over the 3 years
Fujitsu recommends as the life expectancy. The software version of
this drive is 2.20. I have seen mention of a later Version being
3.08 or similar and another mention in the archives of a few small
differences in the standard voice prompts. If I can get a later
version why not. I also have 2 blank NOS Fujitsu 2.1gb MPB3021 AT
drives from DriveGuys.com for an extremely low price, almost obscene,
but then again they may not be worth that much either. I have a new
drive to arrive from another source but of course I am questioning my
own research. I plan on trying the block copy utility for the blank drives.

I really must have way too much time on my hands this week!
