Well, I got a couple of offers of phone help, and a couple of TD
crackers. Jim Schultz had the simplest and fastest way into the box,
thanks for that, and my customer was really impressed at the Panasonic
community that did what Pana TS wouldn't. Of course if I'd posted to this
group first I wouldn't have wasted an hour trying to hack the data speed
through Hyperterm. And, of course, Pana TS said to make sure I could
access the serial port with a laptop before I hooked the modem to
it.....Geeze that's what I'm calling about!

Alright, we had no modem at the time, just 2 laptops. Oh yeah, BTW P311D
on a TD-816 hates the Win s/w and my laptop with it's lack of a serial
port, hates the USB to serial converter in DOS. I'll have to drag my old
HP to DOS jobs :-(

Maybe this time I'll burn the Password software and the other fix to a disk
of Pana goodies and my ever present memory stick so I don't ever get caught
without it.

Carl
