PEDANTIC RANT ON

Using the term "T-1" will get you & the other guy confused.

T1 is the TRANSPORT FACILIITY, not the end service. It explicitly
refers to a 2-pair (TX & RX) circuit, over copper. But far too
many people (inc. Ma!) call everything one...

You buy either "PRI" or "CT1" - {itself misnamed, alas....}

A) PRI is 23B+D.
   CT1 is 24B's with signaling stolen from each B.

B) BOTH are carried on a DS1 protocol.

C) THAT DS1 may be carried on a T-1, but likely is not. Some kind
of single-pair H{A}DSL is usually used, INVISIBLE TO YOU. It ends
up in a local SmartJack, where you get possession as a 2 pair
DS1 signal.
