Have a customer that just got co caller id free. The co provided name
and number presents on the sets fine.

But the cust wants to replace the co provided name with the customer's
salesperson name. I put 9725551212 in table 110-001 then put "Jim
Smith" in table 111-001. Then I called from 9725551212, and I got the
co provided number and name on the set display. I thought there was a
fudge bit (990) to force the system to use the cid tables even if the co
sent a name -not.

After I got back to the shop, I thought there was another problem, the
incoming co's are in the slave box, and I didn't force a reset to push
changes into the slave. I checked the next morning (systems resync the
data at 3am) and it still won't use the name from table 111.

But now I'm thinking the -1 only uses the 110/111 tables if co only send
the number. Anyone with a better memory about using the 110/111 cid
tables?

Thanks,

btw, just in case, i've scrounged an old 286 for the receptionist to
catch the "RC" from the smdr port to pop the customer
info(salesperson). Guess I don't need the 286, she has an order entry
screen on her desk It's DOS based, has a free serial port, and I know
how to take the RC cid number and plug it into the order entry screen
(by phone number) which will show the salesperson.
