Start with a manual.  It has pretty pictures of which leads to hold high on 
your cable(notably pin 7 on a DB-9 goes to pin 5 on a DB-25) so the 
Panasonic can send the data.  Here in the U.S. we buy $5 or $6 cables from 
Jenne Distributing (www.jenne.com) that have a DB-9 on one end and a DB-25 
on the other end.   It works well on the TD system box.

After you get the cable, in the US system, it's a matter of programming 
date and time, call duration start timer, Incoming/outgoing call log 
Printout, SMDR format, and the data parameters..  In ours it's 
000,212,800,801,802,806 and 807 and the default is 9600,n,8,1.
