How about a little more detail? What are you using for the MOH source.

If you are using a radio/stereo/whatever's headphone jack, you likely 
have an impedance mismatch between that output and the line level input 
on the 624.

Try using a dubbing cable from Radio Shack. Dubbing cables aren't simple 
patch cables, they have impedance matching circuitry built in.

has 1/8" plugs on each end. They have another with one 1/8" plug and an 
RCA plug that I use with my 123211D, but I can't locate the page right 
now. (I know they have them because I just bought one a couple of weeks 
ago.)
