I'm surprised with all the responses that say to upgrade.

The DBS 576HD has reached it's EOL but we can still support it fine. If we
were to upgrade we would spend more for 60 phones than the whole upgrade
would cost. Yes we would be on an digital IP system, but is that going to
make a difference for making phone calls. We aren't connecting brand offices
and we don't have telecommuters.

I'm surprised on how many people wanted to sell us a system on the list and
even the KX-TDA200.

The average life of a PBX is 7 years, you can get 10 to 12 but you sacrifice
a lot of Technology and Support. If you upgrade the DBS, which hasn't been
supported for about 2 years. Your investing in old Technology with no
support. Invest in the new KX-TDA200, you'll get the new Technology,
(Wireless and VOIP), and get a 2 years parts warranty with support from
Panasonic for the next 5 to 7 years. Great system and Wireless is a big hit.
What part of the country are you in?
Good luck.

Subject: KX-T: DBS Upgrade or start over

I know this is the KXT forum but this is a general question:

We have a DBS 576 HD with the following:

HM Processor

8 Trunk Card

3 - 8 DEC Card

1 - 16 DEC Card

VM Card

PC Based Voicemail

36 LCD Phones

We need to upgrade to 24 more extensions and a PRI (total 60 extensions & 23
trunks). The total for the phones, extra cabinet, processor, installation,
etc is approx 10k. Would you recommend upgrading or just starting with a
new system? Say a VOIP or another digital system? When do you say it's time
to drop the system and get a new one? It still works well

Thanks,

Eric
