EFA is External Feature Access, which is identical with a "flash" button on a single-line set.
It sends a Flash to a CO line or trunk. Or if you're oldschool, think of the "ground button" on mechanical PBXs....

John,
if the KXTAW848 is anything like the TDA programming you
should go to extension ,wired ext, extension settings, and
change the function of the flash key to be EFA instead of
flash recall. You can then use the funct 3to access your call
waiting from CO.

Subject: KX-T: KXTAW848 with KXT7680 Cordless Call-Waiting function

Have a client that has call waiting on CO#1. While using
the cordless
handset (KXT7680) We cannot seem to get it to do an in-call
hook-flash for
the call-waiting feature.

We have tried using FUNC-3 I have also tried to program on
of the upper
three function buttons to flash and nothing seems to happen.

Can anybody who has a laboratory setup in their office try
this for me to
confirm if it does in fact work or not. The guys at
Panasonic can't seem
to
recreate this problem for me.
