Yes, you are right! "This is a job for" PANAMAX! The "on your phone" deal
won't work as you can't print (or output) SMDR to a phone screen, only
through the RS232 port. 

So just sell them a cheap PC wired through to the PBX RS232 port, and
another monitor or KVM switch and get the call accounting software, such as
Panamax.

I got a requisition for a strange application. Now
hear this, this guy has 6 lines on an 816D-1 and wants
to know (basically with a touch of a button or with a
sequence) who is calling his service people and wants
a call log kept on each line and wants to access this
info on his phone.

Ok i think this is a case for call accounting but what
you guys think? But this "on my phone deal" is kind of
restricting.
