Hi All, My issue has been solved! I thought I'd share with the group in case anyone else ends-up with this same, esoteric issue.
After working with Panasonic phone support for close to 2 hours it turned out to be an improper configuration in the TVS200 of a DSP (Digital Signal Processor) setting. Afterwards they theorized that maybe the unit was tested at the factory and not properly reset for the US marketplace *OR* maybe it was configured for another marketplace, i.e. Canada, and that the unit was sold in the US instead. ...we'll never know for sure... But who cares now - its fixed! 8-) So, if you're hooking a TVS voicemail unit to a digital Panasonic system in D-PITS mode and everything works perfect except the audio is just way awful, i.e. The audio is scratchy and over-modulated in D-PITS mode, and every other configuration; hardware; programming; and cabling possibility has been ruled out and the audio issue doesn't exist when running the system in Inband mode, then your issue may just very well be the TVS unit's DSP settings are improperly configured. Call Panasonic technical support ...and have a modem ready for them to call-in on.
