Michael, We have our original 616 hooked up with SMDR and it works fine. We have the identical cabling setup on a TD1232 so the hardware should be the same.
Have you checked to see if the 616 has the SMDR printing enabled for all incoming and outgoing calls and set the page length, skip lines, etc ? Somebody may have turned SMDR printing off on you. My 616 manual isn't handy, perhaps someone else here can give us the program number. Good luck, Reddy ----- Original Message ----- From: Michael Karaman To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] ; [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, December 30, 2002 8:13 AM Subject: KX-T: SMDR on 616 OK, now that someone has started the SMDR questions, I need some help for getting an OLD 616 to print out. I have the SMDR working fine on a TD1232 to an Oki 184. But when I take the same cable and plug it into 2 different 616's, nothing happens. I have checked the 232 parameters in both KSU's and both are the same. The 616 has a couple of extra pins specified in the com port set up, haven't fooled with those yet. Anyone have this working on an Analog 616? They still make them, and if you want to do call accounting, Panalog is a good choice. I use Tel Electronics Tel Sense. It's a stand alone box which is extremely user friendly, and hooks up to a Okidata or other serial printer. It's a little pricey, but beats buying a computer, and a monitor, and keyboard, and mouse. It's a little bigger than a stack of 3X5 cards. Takes up very little space, and runs some very useful reports. Check my website or Tel Electronics. Steve L.
