The "Link" is purely soft ware When the digital half of the pair is in use ther will be no change in status of the Single line half, this relates to a suggestion that one might be able to use the single line half to activate an external device when the digital set was in use. The linking is done through Pgm item 600 which allows the single line and digital haves of the station port ( example ext 105 and 205 ) to be linked for purposes of having a cordless or answer machine slaved to a digital set, or thay can be split to act independently.
Whit regards hacking the phone any thing you open up phone or DSS will void the warenty, on that item. I suspect that the DSS will not provide what you neet when the station is paged. However good luck with your problem. On Mon, 09 Sep 2002 14:47:01 -0400 "L. M.
