Keep in mind that the recommended distances are not absolute. Just
guaranteed. I bet with 22 ga you could run an extension 1500 feet. If you
need a bit of extra wiggle room, run 20 ga instead.

| Randy and group,
|
| Here is the variable that I forgot, what if cabling is ran underground
(18"
| deep in PVC), and if there is the possibility of running over the 1180
| limit. In other words, I am worried about obstacles (tree roots,
| sidewalks...) that might push us over by 10-20% over the limit. Do you
think
| we are still good, or do we need to factor in any other parts before the
| proposal and install? OR do you all think I should I get a box of cat3
three
| cable and see how far above ground I can streeecccchhhhhhhh it?? HA HA
|
| Thank You,

|
| Right in the front of the manual it says that if you use 22 gauge wire NOT
| 26 gauge wire, you can have a digital phone 1180 feet away.
