A client on other items ended up going with a Toshiba CTX.

Having sat in on the process, I'm disappointed in the
industry..here's why.

This is multi-tenant. I recommended avoiding SMDR for billing
resolution, if possible, to avoid squabbles.

But the PRI carrier can not bill on outgoing CNID. That's OK;
the CTX can't do what we wanted & provide one CNID/tenant anyhow!
[We're choosing to punt with a generic outgoing that will appear
on the recpt. console & be answered "law office"..]

The PRI vendor can do billing by non-verified account codes but
not on local calls. But the CTX can't automagically generate
codes per extension. Argh.

Hence, they're going with SMDR.

The plus of the PRI is it's <half the recurring charges vice Ma's
ground starts for each tenant. Plus with volume, inter/intra
state is less than 4c/min. Plus Plus, this carrier is charging 60%
of Ma on the /call local cost. (OBT|Ameritech|SBC does not even
offer /call on PRI without pulling teeth to get same -- they want
/min billing on everything. I expect a quarter slot on the next
White Pages.)
