How effective they are may vary greatly. I remember back in my car stereo days a product called dynamat. Its probably still around. You could also simply stuff sound proofing insulation or even standard fiberglass insulation in the space. Foam rubber may work also. You may try to mount the speaker on an insulative barrier so the vibrations don't get transmitted to the floor above the speaker. Something like a ring of foam rubber between the speaker and the mounting surface. ----- Original Message ----- From: "Dan Padilla" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> To: "kxt help" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> Sent: Wednesday, June 05, 2002 11:58 PM Subject: KX-T: FW: the easy question | hello all- i need some advise on speakers. i have installed a couple of rat | shack speakers in the ceiling of a clients house. the master bedroom is | directly above and sound is penetrating through to upstairs. i need to know | if there is a way i can install a material around the speakers to baffle the | sound. thanks in advance. dan. | | | _________________________________________________________________ | KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ | Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt | | _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt _________________________________________________________________ KX-T Mailing list --- http://kxthelp.com/ Subscription changes: http://kxthelp.com/mailman/listinfo/kxt
