The following works with KX-TD1232-4 and KX-TVS200

0. Pick a good number for the mailbox/phantom extension xZZZ.
According to the http://www.ablecomm.com/howtodoit.htm#Installer Tips (I am
having an HTML futz right now -- I can not remember how to code a space in
a page label -- %20 does not work, but it does work in a directory name)
webpage, good numbers for phantom extensions for KX-TD1232 with default
numbering include 100, 189, 190, 195, 200, 265-290. One can also configure
addional blocks of 100 extensions, say 3xx or 4xx.

The follwing assumes that the KX-TD1232 is configured to have the same
voice mailbox as extension:

In the KX-TD1232 (programed at operator extension, manager extension; or
via software):
1. Create phantom extension xZZZ
2. Assign MWL xZZZ to a flexible CO button.
I have the phantom extension assigned to a flexible CO button on
one set, but it does not ring. I think that it is acceptable to have the
phantom extension assigned nowhere.

In the KX-TVS (programed via TEFT (Terminal Emulation and File Transfer)
software):
1. Create mailbox xZZZ
2. Set "All calls transfer to mailbox" to NO
3. Log into the mailbox and use menu options 4, 1, 1 to "Enable Call
Blocking"

Gotchas include:
If you test the MWL for xZZZ by setting it from an operator's extension,
you will have to clear the MWL on xZZZ from the operator's extension before
the TVS can set and clear the MWL.

BTW: When the MWL is set, and you press the lit button on the phone, the
LCD displays the name associated with the extension that set the light --
an operator extension or the VM extension.

Good luck,

KXTD1232-5
TVS
7433 sets

I have a user setting up a message-only line; IOW, all calls will
fall into a VMBox. They'll return them as they get A Round Tuit.

I recall -4 or -5 made a change such that you could have a 2nd MW
indicator on a DSS button. But I can't find much in The Fine Manuals
on same; just a brief mention of it in DSS assignments.

Do I need to build a phantom but not have it ring or....?
