Juan,
I program my KSU [KX-TD1232] using the modem card [33K Baud] and the Programator
Windows software. I call any phone line and then Transfer 299. This connects the
computer to the KSU.

I also program directly using a Laptop with the same software. The cable used is a
standard computer serial cable with a Null Modem Adapter at the KSU end. Software
works the same way. Must be sure that you have set the software baud in the program
to match that of the KSU.

I keep a log of the calls on a printer [though it recently stopped working and I
haven't had time to check why] I have a standard serial cable from the KSU to the
printer BUT I use a Serial/Parallel interface adapter to convert the serial signal to
parallel so that I can use a parallel dot matrix printer. I haven't tried sending it
to a PC but I have sent alarm RS232 signals to a PC using the software Procomm and
taking the RS232 port to the serial port of the computer. Again, the baud rate in the
program must match the baud rate from the KSU.

Hope this helps.
