Subject: KX-T: KX-TD1231 Computer Modems

I am having one more small problem I hope someone has an answer to. We have
3 computer modems connected to the XDP ports on the key. Each modem has its
own port and therefore its own ext #. The modems can dial out, no problem.
There is a problem when we try to dial into the modem. I need a way to
direct a call to the modem itself. I tried to route the call on the CO line
directly to the modem's ext # and the modem couldn't handshake with the
dialing party. The modem's LED was lit on fax not data like it would if I
pluged the modem directly into the CO line and it answered. Is there a
setting in the Key that I have to set so that it will allow my modems to
work properly... Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

I would guess that the modem has a distinctive ring function. Station to
station calls are double rings and the double ring is what must turn on the
fax tones. Try checking your S registers for a fix.

My .02 worth.
