For those of you who have not seen this yet: ---------- Forwarded message ---------- From: Jonathan Riddell <j...@jriddell.org> Date: Mon, Feb 19, 2018 at 3:22 AM Subject: Plasma 5.13 dependencies To: plasma-devel <plasma-de...@kde.org>, KDE release coordination < release-t...@kde.org>
Plasma 5.13, due out in June, will depend on Qt 5.10, KDE Frameworks 5.46. The newer Qt will help us port KControl modules to QtQuick Controls 2 a target of this release. https://phabricator.kde.org/project/view/254/ Jonathan This is a pretty big jump for us. Right now, I'm running Artful with the latest Plasma, and I have Qt version 5.9.1. What are the chances of us having Qt 10.0 up and running and stuff built against it by June? I never see the CI running parts of Qt; is there a reason we don't do that? I realize that we are still knee deep in getting a beautiful, polished Bionic out the door, AND we need to look ahead to the next cycle too. Valorie -- http://about.me/valoriez
