Public bug reported:

I tested Kubuntu 26.04 beta by booting it from USB stick on ThinkPad
X9-14 connected to ThinkPad Thunderbolt 4 Workstation dock to which I
have connected three external displays. This display+dock setup is
usable for example with ThinkPad P1gen5 using Kubuntu 24.04 (X11) and to
some extent also with the X9 using OEM 24.04 (there are some problems
but display configuration is not one of them).

By default, when I connected the dock, the laptop's builtin screen and
one of the external displays were enabled. Other displays were detected
though.

In display configuration, the enabled displays were not shown in the
area where you can drag them around each other so I could not change
their positions.

If I tried to enable an additional display or disable one of the two
enabled-by-default displays and then save the congfiguration, I'd get a
message saying that configuration could not be saved because "Position
of enabled output eDP-1 is negative (-2147483647, -2147483647). If I
disabled eDP-1, then it would give the same error about an other
display.

This was in the default Wayland session.

I tried installing X11 versions of plasma session and kwin, logging out
and logging in to an X11 session. This problem did not occur in the X11
session.

In the Wayland session, I listed outputs on command line using kscreen-
doctor. There were no negative positions or anything unusual in the
output.

Attempts to enable one of the disabled displays using kscreen-doctor did
not do anything. It gave me no error message and it did not enable the
display. I also tried changing the positions of displays using kscreen-
doctor but it didn't have any effect to systemsettings situation.

** Affects: systemsettings (Ubuntu)
     Importance: Undecided
         Status: New
