Yes, the bugs are reproducable
1. Start and stop. I have installed Kubuntu 24.02 as an update for 18.04 (which works fine on my hardware). For 'OS updating' I always buy a new Harddisk; the old one is my 'safety backup'. Since the same brand and type HD is used, I dont expect any hardware problems. After installation OS, the Login and Logout screen flashes when building up, and no texts appear. After entering the password (no gliefs appears) the Login screen flashes and after some time the Desktop Window manager starts. Same thing with Logout screen ; flashes and no text. Downloaded Kubuntu 24 again (on old drive), and made a new installation DVD. Re-installed Kubuntu; whole drive used new install, data cleared. Login Logout still flashes, no text appears. 2. Installing software applications --- While installing the software I use LibreOffice to 'update' my personal 'Installation Guide'--- Several times when using Discover for installing software the desktop 'hangs'. Mouse pointer is extreeeeemly slow, and nothing seems to happen at all. After two hours a Power Off Reset. Only when Discover is the only running application on the desktop, the sofware can be installed. The screen does not hang whenever the Konsole is used for installation. 3. In 18.04 I have no mouse problems at all. In 24 mouse responds are often slow and bad. Mouse(pointer) seems to miss the selected icons or menu-items, and often a seconds mous-klick-attempt is necessary. 4. System Monitor used for trying to locate the problems. However, System Monitor responds are slow, bad and intermitterend. Graphs are not displayed at all. Attached is a Spectacle screenshot I just made of System Monitor while writing the email. Notice the Monitors menu-text are written into one another. Notice the Spectacle window that should not be visible at all. Notice the compleet missing background screen of Thunderbird of this mail. While making this screenshot my system hangs again. Only a Power Off Reboot is a fix. However, behind the screen Kunbuntu was still running, since this email was saved. In Syslog I can find an awfull lot (pages!) of "QOpenGLShaderProgram:: ..... : shader program is not linked" Error messages.
