Whenever I reboot my laptop, it has the built-in screen activated. Then I have
to deactivate it, "Apply", confirm within some 14 seconds that I want to keep
it, "Yes", and it is gone and only the external monitor remains active.
Though, after each reboot, the built-in screen is active once again, and I have
to deactivate it, again.
This is 100% reproducible, on Kubuntu 24.04, Plasma version 5.27.12, X11.
This is actually the case since I upgraded to 24.04. On 22.04, the former
setting used to be reinstated. It is a lenovo Thinkpad, has the external screen
plugged into an HDMI-port. Therefore, it is logical to start the machine itself
on its internal screen. But latest with my login, I'd expect (k)ubuntu to
respect the last, confirmed, monitor settings and shut the internal screen off.
