Public bug reported: Dear Kubuntu Development Team,
I would like to report a potential issue related to the Arabic keyboard layout on Kubuntu. When using Google Docs with the Arabic keyboard layout enabled, pressing the shortcut Ctrl+B to make text bold results in inserting the Arabic character "ﻵ" instead of performing the bold action. Although I've only tested this issue with Google Docs, it's possible that it may occur in other applications as well. Steps to reproduce: 1. Switch the keyboard layout to Arabic. 2. Open Google Docs (or potentially other applications). 3. Press Ctrl+B. Expected behavior: - The selected text becomes bold. Actual behavior: - The character "ﻵ" is typed instead. My Kubuntu version: The specific Arabic keyboard layout I'm using: The web browser I'm using: Thank you for looking into this issue. Please let me know if any additional information is required. ** Affects: kubuntu-settings (Ubuntu) Importance: Undecided Status: New -- You received this bug notification because you are a member of Kubuntu Bugs, which is subscribed to kubuntu-settings in Ubuntu. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/2106745 Title: Ctrl+B in Google Docs with Arabic keyboard layout inserts ﻵ instead of bolding text To manage notifications about this bug go to: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/kubuntu-settings/+bug/2106745/+subscriptions -- kubuntu-bugs mailing list kubuntu-bugs@lists.ubuntu.com https://lists.ubuntu.com/mailman/listinfo/kubuntu-bugs
