Public bug reported:

When using dolphin to browse "/tmp" directory in which there is at least
one image, dolphin keeps generating a great number of images and use a
rapidly increasing amount of memory. If not closing dolphin within one
minute, the machine would shortly run out of memory.

The reason, I guess, is that dolphin generates a thumbnail cache in the
"/tmp" directory when browsing any images in any directory. It's ok when
browsing a normal directory, but when it comes to the "/tmp" directory
itself, problem occurs. Assume that there is a image "/tmp/1.png",
browsing "/tmp" makes dolphin to generate thumbnail for the "/tmp/1.png"
as "/tmp/dolphin-abcd.png", and the generated thumbnail are regarded as
a new image, so dolphin generates thumbnail for the "/tmp/dolphin-
abcd.png" as "/tmp/dolphin-efgh.png", and so on continously... The
number of the generated thumbnail files and the amount of memory usage
will increase exponentially.

Note that I don't have this problem in kubuntu 22.04, in which "/tmp" is
just a normal directory in the hard disk, but in kubuntu 24.10, "/tmp"
becomes a tmpfs.
