You have been subscribed to a public bug:

1. Consider the simple python script qtcwd.py that I have attached here. It
creates a box that contains the result of os.getcwd() from the python module os.
2. Copy it to /usr/bin.
3. Do sudo chmod +x qtcwd.py.
4. Launch krunner and type qtcwd.py and press enter.

Expected result: /home/<user_name>
Result obtained: /home/<user_name>/Documents

The effect of this bug can be felt in python gtk applications like
terminator which start off in the Documents directory rather than the
home directory. This bug is not present in (gnome) Ubuntu last I tried.

I am running Kubuntu 11.04 with KDE 4.7.1, but this bug was definitely
there in 4.6.x too.
