In the Kubuntu 7.10, gutsy, I cannot paste anything into kmail new
letter.
First, copy something from firefox, just like a string.
Second, open a new mail in the kmail.
Third, paste the string into the new mail, either use CTRL-INS or use
right-button menu.
Then, the kmail stopped response!
