Comment: I also just get the splash screen, but openoffice never starts. running kubuntu dapper amd64, latest updates. This is the same/similar to/part of this bug: https://launchpad.net/distros/ubuntu/+source/kdebase/+bug/32159 Also see here: http://bugs.kde.org/show_bug.cgi?id=117395 There the %U ==> %f fix was also proposed. If this is indeed the fix, I think we need to get together a list of all apps with this problem&fix. But since they don't already use %f, wouldn't there be some good reason to use %U?
