In trying to do a 3 point landing (not a good idea) I did a 1 point landing on my tail wheel. Making a careful inspection, the ball joint that connects the tail wheel steering to the rudder horn broke off in my hand. My question is... what would happen if this happened in the air? Would the rudder flap wildly and destroy it self? I am pretty sure I could control a KR without a rudder, but not if it was doing terrible things. Any way, if your KR has a single link connecting the steering bar to the rudder (seems like a split cable going to a pair of rudder horns would be a better arrangement) have a good look at it. Mine was worn to failure.
