Thanks to Zach for sharing that story.  Flying 211LF for 20 years and 800 hours I knew the shortcomings of nylon lines but considered it to be a problem primarily for tri-gear that used brakes for steering and did a lot of taxi test.  I used brakes so infrequently I never considered it a problem, never considering a dragging brake on long ground runs.

If you are using nylon lines all the way to the puck, replace the ends with metal at least to the point where a line break will not put fluid on the hot brake.  Second, use the least flammable fluid available.  Last, as Zach recommends, carry a fire extinguisher.
